Where you can sell

Direct to consumer; internet and mail-order allowed with delivery in person, to an event venue, or by USPS/commercial mail (shipping allowed — unusual among states); wholesale prohibited.

The required label statement

Made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to Florida's food safety regulations.

At least 10-point type in a color that provides a clear contrast to the background of the label (F.S. §500.80). The apostrophe in "Florida's" is part of the mandated sentence.

What must be on your label

Name and address of the cottage food operation
Name of the cottage food product
Ingredients in descending order of predominance by weight
Net weight or net volume
Allergen information per federal labeling requirements
If a nutritional claim is made: nutritional information per federal requirements
The disclaimer statement (≥10-pt, contrasting color)
Products must be prepackaged with the label affixed

Worth knowing

Local governments may not regulate cottage food (state preemption), but home-based business conditions (§559.955) apply.
Font-size + contrast are mandated for the disclaimer; no font-family mandate.
